Xbox Live Game Trials Evolution Leaked to Torrent Sites
In what may be a first for the gaming industry, an unfinished build of an unreleased Xbox Live game somehow leaked to torrent sites yesterday.
Developer RedLynx swears that it wasn’t one of their own who let Trials Evolution slip out their door, despite the fact that they purposefully leaked a previous Trials title back in 2009 to drum up publicity. And considering that Ubisoft now owns the studio, that’s likely the truth.
The Beauty of Minecraft
Many an impressive thing has been done with nothing more than a pile of blocks.
The Humble Android Bundle
The Humble Bundle is back again! This time, they aimed at Android users with a collection of four awesome games: Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, EDGE, and World of Goo.
The deal runs on the same “pay what you want” model as always. All proceeds go directly to either charity or the developers – the choice on how to divvy up your donation is yours.
The Centurion Challenge
This guy did the Centurion Challenge. That’s 100 shots of beer in 100 minutes. Goddamn.
MegaUpload User Data Soon to Be Destroyed?
The proprietors of MegaUpload, most of whom are behind bars right now, received a letter from the U.S. Attorney’s Office yesterday informing them that all of the data uploaded to MegaUpload servers by users may be destroyed before the end of the week.
That includes millions of files that were legally uploaded. In other words, if you uploaded an important file to MegaUpload and didn’t keep a backup, you may be fucked.
The looming wipe is the result of MegaUpload’s lack of funds to pay for the servers. They lack the funds, of course, because their finances were seized during the raid a few weeks back.
I actually kind of hope this happens. I can only imagine the response the feds would receive from groups like Anonymous if they actually exhibited such blatant abuse of power.
Park Ranger Tases Man For Having Dogs Off Leash
A National Park Service ranger used her taser against a man who was just walking his two small dogs off leash at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California yesterday. Why? Because he tried to brush her off. Witnesses say he did nothing wrong.
The man, whose name is Gary Hesterberg, allegedly gave the ranger a false name and tried to walk away. The ranger zapped him, paramedics and police were called, and Hesterberg was arrested for “failing to obey a lawful order” and “knowingly providing false information”.
Oh, and he was also cited for having his lap dogs off leash. I smell a lawsuit brewing.
Blake Griffin Dunks Like a Monster
When this man goes for the basket, he means business. Fuck.
