Google sure hasn’t been living up to their “do not evil” motto in recent months.
The Wall Street Journal reported last Friday that the search giant has been tracking activity of iPhone users regardless of their privacy settings. As if that weren’t bad enough, Microsoft confirmed yesterday that they’ve been doing the same thing to Internet Explorer users.
This could be a serious legal mess for Google. Privacy advocates within the tech industry are calling for a full FTC investigation into the matter – and rightfully so.
