Mediafire, one of the last remaining file sharing services that hasn’t blocked access to users in the United States, just made it a lot harder to snag downloads that you weren’t given a link to directly. The company is now blocking all incoming traffic from search engine FilesTube.
Company co-founder Tom Langridge told TorrentFreak, “As a private service MediaFire was never designed to be indexed which is why we don’t have an index.”
Langridge’s explanation is bullshit, of course. Mediafire is simply playing the “CYA” game.
