Russian baritone Eduard Khil, who famously censored a performance of “I Am So Happy to Finally Be Back Home” back in 1976 by making vocalizations instead of singing some of the song’s lyrics, has died. He was 77.

Khil’s strange song went viral via YouTube in 2009. He became an instant meme sensation.
