Apple Dropping Google Maps With iOS 6 Release

Apple is dropping Google Maps with the release of iOS 6, replacing it with an Apple-made 3D mapping solution. This according to anonymous sources at the company.

It’s a widely known fact that Apple has been working for the past few years to develop its own mapping software and service. The company made several significant acquisitions recently, including start-ups Placebase and Poly9. We should hear more at WWDC 2012.
