Google is apparently on a bit of a buyout spree this week.
Yesterday, the search titan acquired the horrendous Meebo platform for an inexplicable $100 million. Today, they acquired mobile document suite Quickoffice for an undisclosed sum.
This is a calculated move aimed at sticking it to Microsoft in the mobile space. Quickoffice is available on Android and iOS. It’s currently installed on more than 300 million devices.
