The iFixit team did a teardown of a MacBook Pro retina display model yesterday. Or, rather, they tore it down as much as they could without destroying it. Apple really locked it down.
In addition to the RAM being soldered right to the logic board, Apple also glued the battery in and used an SSD that’s basically proprietary. I think they may want to stop us from doing any DIY upgrades or trying to fix issues ourselves.
