Google has confirmed that a resource leak related to GPU acceleration in the Mac version of Chrome is wreaking havoc on the new MacBook Air. The company pushed out an update yesterday afternoon that temporarily disables acceleration until a full fix is ready.

The kicker? It turns out that Flash - the outdated platform that PC users gave Steve Jobs all manner of crap for refusing to support on Apple devices – is actually the culprit.
