A “publishing source” told CVG this past week that Epic Games plans to publish Gears of War: Judgment in February of next year. The exact date hasn’t been set, however.

A playable build of the game, which is under development at Epic-owned studio People Can Fly, will be at Comic Con in San Diego in a few weeks.

Gears of War: Judgment will serve as a prequel to the best-selling Xbox 360 trilogy. Its plot revolves around the trial of Kilo Squad, which includes trilogy characters Baird and Cole.
