TechCrunch got their hands on an internal Mozilla email that basically says the company is planning to drop all plans for future development of Thunderbird, their popular email client.

An official announcement was supposed to be made on Monday – but since TechCrunch let the cat out of the bag, Mozilla went ahead and confirmed the ugly truth.

Thunderbird was the only thing Mozilla had been doing right lately. This is a sad day.
