According to an anonymous source who spoke to Official Xbox Magazine UK recently, 343 Industries plans to produce an HD reboot of Halo 2 once Halo 4 is complete. This shouldn’t come as any surprise given the success of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition.

When asked about the rumor a Microsoft spokesman told Kotaku that, ”Our focus right now is on developing Halo 4. Beyond that, we do not comment on rumors or speculation.”

In other words, this is a thing that’s actually going to happen. Awesome.
