Michael Fassbender to Star In Assassin’s Creed Movie

Michael Fassbender, who played a younger Magneto in X-Men: First Class and also starred in Prometheus, is set to co-produce and take on the leading role in a movie based on the Assassin’s Creed video game franchise.

Ubisoft initially spoke to Sony about producing a series of films based on the Assassin’s Creed plot. The French video game publisher’s execs now intend to have the films done in-house to maintain creative control over their outcomes.

This is one of those situations where the result is either going to be absolutely amazing or a total pile of shit.
