Grum, the botnet behind 18% of the world’s overall spam volume, has been taken down by a team of security researchers. Security firm FireEye and spam-tracker SpamHaus worked in tandem with dozens of Internet service providers to kill the illegal network.

As the recipient of thousands of spam emails per day, this makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
