Actor Michael Clarke Duncan, best known for roles in films such as Armageddon, The Green Mile and 2001 version of Planet of the Apes, died today. He was 54 years old.
Duncan suffered a severe heart attack last month from which he couldn’t recover. He died at the Los Angeles hospital to which he’d been confined for the past seven weeks.
Standing 6’5″ and weighing more than 300 pounds, Duncan turned to acting in his 30′s after spending several years as a bodyguard for big Hollywood stars including Will Smith and Notorious B.I.G. (He quit after B.I.G. was murdered.)
