According to a press release from the National Pig Association of Britain, we’re facing an “unavoidable” shortage of bacon and other pork products in 2013. Rising costs of pig feed due to the global failure of soya and maize harvests has forced pig herders to scale back the size of their herds. The price of bacon and pork is expected to skyrocket as a result.
