All Things D is reporting that Apple will finally unveil the iPad Mini at an invitation-only event currently scheduled to take place on October 23rd in Cupertino, California.

The Guardian, meanwhile, says the device will be Wi-Fi only to keep production costs down and allow Apple to sell it at a more competitive price point. Interesting, to say the least.
