Ubisoft lead designer Steve Masters has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed III will be the last game in the franchise to feature Desmond Miles. The game is designed to “bring some finality” to his story, which has spanned the previous entries in the best-selling series.

It should be interesting to see what they do, next. I’d love to see them put out another game set in modern times. The again, that’s what we have the Hitman series for.
