Google was supposed to hold a major press event in New York today to unveil a bunch of cool new Android related products including a new phone and a new tablet.
Unfortunately, the looming threat of Hurricane Sandy rained on their parade. (Ha!) Instead of waiting and rescheduling the event, however, Google decided to spill the beans.
- The LG-made Nexus 4 is coming on November 13th. It will be available in both 8GB and 16GB versions. It runs on a Snapdragon S4 chip and 2GB of RAM.
- The Nexus 10 tablet is also due out on November 13th. It’s basically a 10″ version of the Nexus 7 with slightly improved internals and Android 4.2 for $399.
Unfortunately, Google didn’t set a release date for the standalone Android 4.2 update. And to be honest, it really doesn’t matter as 4.2 isn’t bringing anything spectacular to the table.
