David Petraeus, the four-star Army general who became director of the CIA summer before last following his retirement from active duty abruptly resigned today. He cited an extramarital affair he apparently had with biographer Paula Broadwell as his reason for stepping down.

Because this couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the murders in Libya.
