A Splinter Cell movie is finally happening and Variety says that Tom Hardy has signed on to play Sam Fisher.

A studio hasn’t been chosen yet but Ubisoft is talking to both Warner Bros. and Paramount about the project.

Hardy played the role of the villain Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and he’s currently shooting Mad Max: Fury Road.

I really don’t agree with this casting choice. But then again, all of the other Sam Fisher look-alikes would be terrible. It’s too bad that George Clooney is too old for the job.
