A member of the U.S. Navy’s elite SEAL Team Six - the same team that eliminated Osama bin Laden - was killed during a hostage rescue mission in Afghanistan yesterday. Nicolas D. Checque, 28, served as a highly decorated officer in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

The hostage, American doctor Dilip Joseph, was rescued from Taliban forces.
