Jay Wilson, the man who oversaw the development, release, and maintenance of Diablo III, is stepping down as Game Director. Wilson broke the news via a lengthy post on the game’s official forums. He’ll remain an employee at Blizzard; he’ll just be working on other projects.

This is a good thing in my opinion. I’m sure Jay’s a great guy but he held things back. It’s time for someone else to step up and (continue to) take the Diablo III team in the right direction.
