Kotaku Reveals New Details About PS4

Kotaku just published what it says are the final hardware specs for the PS4 and some of the information simply doesn’t jive with the leak that Eurogamer published last week.

For one thing, Kotaku’s sources say Sony’s new console runs on a full 8GB of RAM, not the 4GB originally reported. They also say the PS4′s video is far more powerful than we thought it was. (It’s supposedly got 2GB of raw AMD R10XX power.) Oh, and it has USB 3.0, too.

And it doesn’t stop there. Sony is completely overhauling its controllers, online features have been vastly improved, and they’ve integrated full 7.1 audio support.

In other words, the next-gen decision won’t be so easy for gamers on a budget.
