Hot on the heels of the underwhelming Mega launch, BitTorrent has announced a brand new private, secure alternative to DropBox called Sync. It does the same basic thing as Mega; it uses the much faster BitTorrent protocol to handle file transfers, however.

If this trend continues, then the MPAA and RIAA are going to be out of business fast.
