It came as a bit of a surprise last week when Vigil Games, the THQ-owned developer behind the Darksiders franchise, didn’t find a buyer. But that all changed today; Crytek is using the “core team” from Vigil to put together a brand new studio in Austin, Texas.

It’s unclear at this point what they’ll be working on, however Darksiders isn’t likely as THQ still owns it. Crytek probably would’ve bought it last week if they wanted it. Sad.
