Firefox 3.6 – Try (Use) Before You Buy (Install)

For all of you Mozilla Firefox lovers (25% are now surfing via the Fox!) out there, you can now try the latest version, Firefox 3.6 Beta.

It features, among other things, better JavaScript performance and better integration with new Windows 7 features. You can read more about the specifics at DownloadSquad here and here.

That’s not all, though! You can download the portable version and use that without installing it over your current version of Firefox. There are also instructions on how to transfer your links and add-ons, although some probably won’t work, into the correct folder so you can use Firefox 3.6 Portable just like you use your current version. One thing to note is that when you run Firefox 3.6 Portable for the first time, you should go to “Help” and “Check For Updates…”

Beta 2 is now available but I could only find the link to download Beta 1 in the Portable format.
