How to Bake a Potato
Believe it or not, there are a lot of people in the world who can’t bake a fucking potato properly to save their life. Apparently, somebody else has noticed this too because there’s now a website that explains in great detail exactly how to go about baking a potato. They even give you pictures.
It’s impossible to fuck this up as long as you follow these steps. Now, there shouldn’t be any excuses for serving dinner guests undercooked potatoes.
Yes, I know – I’m ranting about baked fucking potatoes. It’s a big pet peeve of mine, though, so you can blow me.
Badass High Resolution Wallpapers
I stumbled across a great site called Mandolux. It’s a simple wallpaper site that posts one daily update. Some of the wallpapers in their archive are nuts. The cool thing is that they’re all designed for dual screen systems.
I’m switching to these two:
45 Free Fonts from Six Revisions
Six Revisions has a great post up showcasing 45 crisp, cool, modern looking fonts that would work great for a wide range of design applications. If you’re a graphic artist, then be sure to check this out. There are some seriously cool fonts in this collection.
Saizen Media Studios
I’ve seen design firms with some really impressive websites over the years but nothing even comes close to the one I saw today for Saizen Media Studios. They’ve done some heavy hitting work for some major league clients, too. Check out their site if you’ve got some time to kill.
Tokyo Flash
Mr. Maroon is a big fan of Tokyo Flash, a site that specializes in extremely high-tech wristwatches made by various Japanese designers. They do make some really awesome pieces. I’m personally a big fan of the Oberon. As Mr. M pointed out, it would go great with a suit. It’s fairly inexpensive, too, coming in at a modest $185.71. (I have no idea why they have such odd pricing.)
142 Unique Furniture Designs
WebUrbanist has an article running that links to a total of 142 interesting and unique furniture designs. As you can see from the storage solutions pictured here, some of these are really weird and cool. I think my particular favorite is the one that focuses on tables. There are some truly inspired creations in that collection.
I’ve always had a preference for this kind of well crafted furniture. The time and patience this takes impresses me.
