“Painter of Light” Thomas Kinkade Dead at 52
Thomas Kinkade, known as the “Painter of Light”, has died. He was 52 years old.
If you live in the United States and have been to a shopping mall in the past decade, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Kincade’s work. His Media Arts Group, which was at one point publicly traded, took in $32 million quarterly from 4,500 dealers nationwide.
Kincade’s cause of death is unknown. Authorities do not believe foul play was involved.

A Redditor who goes by the name HawaiianBum designed this fantastic label for a bottle of fruit punch. Nintendo would make a fortune selling this.

Ubisoft Giving Away Tattoos, Mohawks to Promote Far Cry 3
To promote Far Cry 3, the marketing team at Ubisoft has arranged for a tattoo artist to set up shop during the PAX East convention in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, April 6th.
Suze, an artist from The Hourglass Tattoo Parlor, will tattoo anyone over the age of 18 for free as long as the design is based on the tribal tattoos found on Far Cry 3′s Vaas.
Ubisoft will also have a barber on hand to provide free mohawk haircuts.
Mickey Mouse IRL
Artist Darick Maasen posted photos of his rendition of what Mickey Mouse might look like if his appearance matched his age on Facebook. He did it with latex and acrylic paint.
Grandpa Cassette
Threadless has a real knack for printing t-shirts that make me simultaneously laugh and cry. Gone are the days of the mix tape, pencil rewinds, and ripping from the radio. Sigh.
Super Mario Cutting Boards
Etsy seller David Abramson makes cutting boards inspired by the question mark blocks from Super Mario Bros. Each board is made from 256 individually cut pieces of ash, cherry, and walnut. He also has boards for Pac-Man and Space Invaders.
