Facebook Hides iPad App In iPhone App
Despite the fact that Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t think the iPad is “mobile enough” to deserve an official Facebook app, it appears that he did in fact authorize its development. In fact, it’s finished and fully functional – and it’s hidden inside of the latest version of the world’s largest social social network’s iPhone app. Bizarre.
RIM Cuts 2,000 Jobs
BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) announced today that they’re scaling back operations by eliminating 2,000 people from their workforce. That’s a full ten percent of the company. RIM also announced a split of the Chief Operating Officer position into two roles.
This doesn’t change the fact that the BlackBerry product line is dead, of course.

How much does it cost, you ask? $449. Not bad at all.
Huge Round of Apple Product Updates
There was lots of big news coming out of Apple today. Here’s a summary:

- The Mac Mini got a serious overhaul, too, and now features Core i5 and i7 CPU options in addition to Radeon HD video and a Thunderbolt port.
- There’s now a 27-inch Thunderbolt Display with an integrated FaceTime HD camera, built-in speakers, and several other bells and whistles.
No word on the next iPad or iPhone update, however.

Netflix On the Wii U Controller?
Reggie Fils-Aime, the president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, was quoted in a recent Forbes interview as saying that it would be “theoretically possible” for a gamer to stream Netflix videos directly to the Wii U controller.
In other words, if you’re watching a show and you’re suddenly struck with the urge to take a dump, you wouldn’t have to hit the pause button. Hooray, modern wireless technology!
Pioneer Entering PC Speaker Market
Pioneer has always been known primarily for their car audio, professional DJ’ing, and home theater product lines. This past week, they added computer speakers to that list with a pair of products: a 2.0 system called the S-MM301 and a 2.1 system dubbed the S-MM751RU. Both appear to be solid products. The 2.0 set is $49 and the 2.1 is $129.
If these are anywhere near the quality of their car audio products, Logitech may finally have a bit of real competition aside from Altec Lansing and Klipsch.
