Rocksteady Denies TMNT Rumor

I have some bad news for those of you who were excited about the rumor that Rocksteady is working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game that leverages the same engine used for Batman: Arkham City. According to Rocksteady’s chief executive Sefton Hill, there’s zero truth to the rumor. He’s not even sure how it got started.

I feel like someone just took a shit in the punch bowl. I was really hoping that this was true.

Diablo III Coming Q2 2012

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick confirmed during an earnings call this morning that Diablo III will be released this year – but not as early as anyone expected. In fact, it’s been pushed all the way out to Q2, which means it could be as late as June before it’s available.

This really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s been participating in the beta. Blizzard has been hard at work on fundamental changes to the game’s core systems.

I had the opportunity to play around with Shank 2 for about half an hour last night. It’s head and shoulders above the original. You should definitely buy it if you enjoy platformers.

Square Enix London Studios is working on a new open world shooter called Sleeping Dogs. It’s a cop drama set in Hong Kong. They put together an awesome live action teaser.

EA Unexpectedly Releases Battlefield 3 iOS Game

The EA mobile division unexpectedly and inexplicably released a god-awful iOS bastardization of Battlefield 3 this morning. It’s apparently tied to some sort of advertising partnership with the producers of the upcoming war movie Act of Valor.

The game is called Battlefield 3: Aftershock and – no surprise, here – it’s terrible. Even free, it isn’t worth downloading.

Bethesda Releases Skyrim Creation Kit, High-Res Texture Pack

As promised, Bethesda released the much anticipated Creation Kit for Skyrim via Steam this morning – along with an official high-res texture pack for the game!

But that’s not all! They also put all of the Elder Scrolls games on discount through Thursday.

Hawken Free to Play, Closed Beta Sign-Ups Begin
