Blizzard Issues Apology For Botched Diablo III Launch
Josh Ko, also known as Blizzard community manager Bashiok, posted a sincere apology from the company this evening for the somewhat botched Diablo III launch yesterday and for the ugly technical issues that continue to plague players and the world servers on Battle.net.
I, for one, am willing to forgive and forget. The game is absolutely awesome (when it works).

Hidden Diablo III Zone Discovered
Those of you who played Diablo II undoubtedly remember the insane, loot-laden Secret Cow Level. Blizzard remembers, too, and they kept the hilarious tradition alive in Diablo III. Only this time, the hidden zone is a jab at those who complained about the game’s art style.

Halo 4 Cover Art Revealed
I’m not usually one to pay attention to things like cover art but there’s just something about the direction that 343 Industries has gone with the look of Halo 4 that strikes me. This falls right in line with the gorgeous pieces of concept art that leaked last month.
Ghost Recon : Future Soldier – Launch Trailer
I’m still undecided on this one. The Gunsmith feature looks cool. (The ad for it is great, too.)

38 Studios Facing Serious Financial Issues
38 Studios, the studio that brought us Kingdoms of Amalur, is in a serious financial mess. The company, which is owned by former Red Sox legend Curt Schilling and employs comic book artist Todd McFarlane as its Art Director, failed to make a $1.1 million loan payment.
The company is talking with officials in Rhode Island, including the Governor, to develop an action plan to get them out of the red. (Rhode Island gave Schilling a $75 million loan back in the summer of 2010 to relocate the company from Massachusetts.)
This doesn’t bode well for 38′s plans for an Amalur MMO.
Diablo III Launch Marred By Downtime, Errors
The good news is that Diablo III is as awesome as everyone hoped it would be.
The bad news is that the game’s world servers have been down more often than not since the game’s midnight “launch”. Blizzard has been scrambling to address connection issues, lag, and a handful of nasty bugs that they missed during the beta testing period.
Errors 37, 3003, and most recently 75 have each tormented me at one point or another since Mr. Maroon and I sat down this morning to play. Still, we’ve managed to reach level 16 so far.
