Pre-Order Sniper Elite V2, Kill Adolf Hitler
If you pre-order Sniper Elite V2, the upcoming tactical shooter from 505 Games, you’ll be rewarded with a bonus mission in which you get the chance to kill Adolf Hitler.
I really can’t think of a more compelling reason to pre-order a video game.
EA Montreal Building Dead Space 3 On Frostbite 2.0?
There’s a rumor circulating today that the EA Montreal (in other words, Visceral Games) is working on Dead Space 3 – and they’re using DICE’s gorgeous Frostbite 2.0 engine.
Frostbite 2.0 was most recently used for Battlefield 3 and Need For Speed: The Run. It’s also the engine driving the upcoming Command & Conquer: Generals II.
Mass Effect 3 – Live Action TV Spot
EA is relentlessly promoting this game. I approve.
Hawken Publisher Receives $10 Million From Investors
Meteor Entertainment, the company that will publish upcoming mech shooter Hawken, just got a $10 million infusion from the same venture capital firms that backed Riot Games with their immensely popular League of Legends franchise.
Hawken is being developed by Adhesive Games, a small team based in California. We’ve been keeping tabs on it since it was first announced in March of last year.
The Mass Effect Rap
British rapper Dan Bull strikes again with a lyrical masterpiece about Mass Effect.
Sons of Anarchy: The Video Game
Sons of Anarchy, one of the best shows on TV, might soon be adapted into a video game. The show’s creator, Kurt Sutter, is taking meetings and says that a “major gaming company” is interested in bringing Jax Teller and the rest of the SAMCRO gang to multiple platforms.
It’s a cool concept in theory but I can’t help but wonder how this will be any different or better than The Lost and Damned expansion to Grand Theft Auto IV.
Epic Games to Demo Unreal Engine 4 at GDC 2012
Remember a few weeks ago when Epic Games’ vice president Mark Rein was quoted as saying that we’d see the unveiling of Unreal Engine 4 this year? Well, it turns out that we’re going to get our first taste of the next generation platform next week at GDC 2012.
According to Rein, the new engine won’t even run on current-gen consoles. In fact, he says that it will require hardware “several times more powerful” than the Xbox 360. Considering that CEO Mike Capps made it clear this past summer that he intends to steer the company back toward the PC market, however, that doesn’t really come as a big surprise.
Sniper Elite V2 – Killcam of the Week #1
This game will have awesome animations, if nothing else.
Max Payne 3 – The Mini-30 Rifle
I think the weapons will end up being the best thing about this game.
Saints Row: The Third – Bloodsucker
Alright. Saints Row: The Third is officially the most ridiculous video game ever made. This is yet another piece of upcoming DLC. (There’s also Gangstas In Space.)
