Former NFL star Junior Seau was discovered dead in his Oceanside, California home today from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police are ruling it a suicide.

Seau, 43, was a 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker. Most of his career was spent with the San Diego Chargers. He is widely considered to be a Hall of Fame shoe-in.

MegaUpload Trial Unlikely, Kim Dotcom Furious

United States federal judge Liam O’Grady said during a hearing today that he doesn’t think the federal government’s case against MegaUpload will ever be tried in court – because the FBI can’t serve site owner Kim Dotcom with court papers since he lives in New Zealand.

Considering that it was completely fucking absurd that Dotcom’s residence was raided by a law enforcement branch from the United States to begin with, this comes as no surprise. That hasn’t stopped Mr. Dotcom from lashing out over the matter, regardless.

The Embarrassing Earpiece

This is one of the best political cartoons that I’ve seen in a long while.

In related news, heads started rolling at the Secret Service - and the hooker who caused the whole fiasco has been identified as a 24 year old who goes by “Dania”. She actually spoke to the New York Times about the incident, claiming an agent tried to pay her a mere $30.

Zuckerberg Did Instagram Deal Alone, Cut Price In Half

Facebook bought photo sharing phenomenon Instagram for $1 billion a little over a week ago. But as it turns out, it wasn’t really Facebook that did the deal at all.

It was actually the company’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, according to a report published by the Wall Street Journal. He acted alone, without involving any of his lawyers or even talking to Facebook’s board. He also supposedly talked Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom down from his original asking price of $2 billion over the course of three days.

Christ. I can’t decide whether he’s a complete idiot or a total genius.

Obama has called for a “thorough” and “rigorous” investigation into the incident. All eleven of the agents involved have been sent back to the United States and placed on leave.
