The Grippy Pad

I’m not sure exactly how it works but the Grippy Pad from Firebox can supposedly hold your gadgets in place – even on a vertical surface – without magnets, velcro strips, or adhesive of any kind. You can get one for $11 US, which ain’t too bad at all.

Yahoo Is Suing Facebook

Because they’ve clearly run out of viable sources of income, Yahoo is suing Facebook over the social networking site’s use of ten patents on common features of the social web.

The patents apply to ridiculously broad concepts such as personalized advertising, custom portal pages, custom news feeds, recommendations to connect with others, social music and messaging applications, and authorizing some users to see different sections of your content.

This is going to turn into an absolute shit storm in court.

Discovery Drops Bear Grylls

The Discovery Channel officially cut ties with elebrity adventurer Bear Grylls today after the Man vs. Wild star violated his contract by refusing to participate in projects for the network.

Grylls, who is almost as famous for the “drink my own piss” Internet meme as he is for the show, hasn’t commented on the situation. However, Discovery confirmed that the November 29th, 2011 episode of Man vs. Wild was the last one that the network will produce.

Kobayashi Sets New Grilled Cheese World Record

World champion eater Takeru Kobayashi set a new world record for most grilled cheese sandwiches eaten in one minute today at SXSW 2012. He put down thirteen.

Think about that. That’s a sandwich every 4.6 seconds. Dear lord.
