Ship’s Anchor Kills Internet In East Africa
East Africa’s high-speed internet access was severely disrupted over the weekend after a container ship dropped its anchor in a restricted area, crushing submerged fiber optic cables off the coast of Kenya. Authorities say it could take as long as two weeks to repair.
As many as six countries could be impacted by the incident, which could wreak havoc on the flow of business and availability of some public services in major cities.

Stephen Hawking Frequents a Swingers Club
Renowned physicist Stephen Hawking is a regular visitor at a swingers club in California according to a report published by Radar Online. The wheelchair-bound 70 year old brings an entourage of nurses and assistants when he visits Freedom Acres in the city of Devore.
This is one of those, “It’s so bizarre, it’s probably true,” situations.

You can now purchase a range of Beavis & Butt-Head themed items for your Xbox Live avatar thanks to a licensing agreement between MTV and Microsoft.
I think this may be the first time that I actually buy avatar items.

Rocky, the World’s Largest Lobster
The beast in the photo below is Rocky, a 40-inch lobster that was caught in Maine. He was released back into the wild yesterday. He weighed a ridiculous 27 pounds at the time of his capture. That’s roughly the size of a three year old child.

Rockstar Releases Max Payne 3 PC Screenshots
Yes, Max Payne 3 is coming to PC and yes, it does look amazing. The screenshots below were taken directly from the PC version of the game by Rockstar. Neither the Xbox 360 nor the PS3 can hold a candle to this level of detail. This is going to be a seriously sexy game.

EA Reviving NBA Live Franchise In 2013
There are no real details available just yet but it appears that EA Sports plans to revive the NBA Live franchise next year. The move ends a three year hiatus for the game, which the company decided to kill in 2010 after it failed to keep pace with the NBA 2K franchise.
This really doesn’t make any sense on EA’s part. NBA 2K11 and NBA 2K12 are the two best console basketball titles ever produced. There’s no chance that a new Live will compete.
