Arnold Schwarzenegger Returning to Hollywood Full-Force
You probably know by now that action legend Arnold Schwarzenegger is busting back into Hollywood as a character in The Expendables II. What you may not know, however, is that he’s also signed up for a bunch of other movies. Here’s a quick list of his upcoming projects.
- The Last Stand, coming to theaters next January.
- The Tomb, alongside Sylvester Stallone.
- Ten, an action film from the same producer as End of Watch.
I guess it’s official: he meant it when he said, “I’ll be back.” For better or for worse.

Sony Stock Drops to 31-Year Low
Sony is in bad shape. The company announced a record ¥456.7 billion ($5.71 billion) loss this week, which sent share prices tumbling on the Tokyo Stock Exchange yesterday by an incredible 6.7%. That’s a 31-year low for the Japanese electronics giant.
It’s been four years since Sony last posted any profits. They’re going to be in a world of hurt if they don’t do something drastic to turn things around in the next fiscal year.

TSA Stops Passenger With Loaded Gun
Stop the presses! The Transportation Security Administration actually managed to catch someone trying to carry something dangerous through a checkpoint this past weekend!
Michael Menlo Smith, 60, was trying to make the trip from Baltimore, Maryland to Tampa, Florida. He never set foot on a plane, though. Instead, he was arrested for the loaded Glock 17 he had in his carry-on. A bullet was chambered and Smith was carrying extra magazines.
Author of “Where The Wild Things Are” Dead at 83
Maurice Sendak, the beloved children’s book author (Where The Wild Things Are among others), died in a Connecticut hospital early this morning due to complications created by a recent stroke. He was 83 years old.
Sendak, who rose to fame with the publication of Where The Wild Things Are in 1963, explored the human psyche through his picture books. He also worked on operas, films, and television programs throughout his career and he even had a hand in helping Spike Jonze adapt his most famous book to film in 2009.
This is truly a massive loss for the world of children’s literature. Rest in peace, Mr. Sendak.
