Diablo III Coming Q2 2012

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick confirmed during an earnings call this morning that Diablo III will be released this year – but not as early as anyone expected. In fact, it’s been pushed all the way out to Q2, which means it could be as late as June before it’s available.

This really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who’s been participating in the beta. Blizzard has been hard at work on fundamental changes to the game’s core systems.

I had the opportunity to play around with Shank 2 for about half an hour last night. It’s head and shoulders above the original. You should definitely buy it if you enjoy platformers.

Apple to Announce iPad 3 First Week of March?

An anonymous source inside Apple let slip to All Things D today that the company plans to unveil the highly anticipated iPad 3 at an event during the first week of March.

Of course, this is the hundredth time over the last few months that someone has claimed to know when Apple will unveil the third iteration of their famous tablet. So, who really knows?

Anonymous Hacks Syrian President’s Email Accounts

Anonymous has released hundreds of damaging e-mails stolen from a web server used by Syrian President (and murderer) Bashar al Assad as well as members of his cabinet.

The group claims that many of the account passwords, including al Assad’s, were 12345.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you probably know that this is the guy who’s been ordering the slaughter his own people, who want him out of office.
