There’s a hilarious article on The Globe and Mail about a woman named Patty Brisben who has literally made millions of dollars selling dildos and other sex toys at private parties similar to the ones that Mary Kay and Tupperware consultants hold. The weird part is that her kids help her run the company.
I don’t think I could handle the word “dildo” and “mom” in the same sentence.
I’ve always been a big fan of Liam Neeson’s work in movies, even though I can never remember his name to save my life. (I had to look it up again for the third time in two days just now.) That holds true for his latest movie, Taken, which we just watched the other night.
Although there were some awkward twists in the plot and the ending was poorly done, I thought that it was a solid movie overall. There are some excellent action sequences and Neeson does some pretty demented shit to a couple of the bad guys.
If you get the chance to see it, go for it. You won’t be disappointed if you’re a fan of action movies.
TechRadar is claiming that a Nintendo rep confirmed a spring release date for Nintendo’s third iteration of the DS, the DSi. They’re also saying that GTA: Chinatown Wars is due out around the same time as well as several other promising new DS and Wii titles.
Exciting times for Nintendo fans!
I just ran across Image Spark for the first time today. It’s a strange sort of social network where people tag and exchange images. The intended purpose seems to be to inspire creativity in art, architecture, and design. It’s definitely got a sleek interface and the concept is solid. It’s worth taking a look at, especially if you’re a design student or if you’re looking for creative influence.
Wired published a cool collection of concept artwork in an article about Joseph McGinty’s upcoming Terminator Salvation film, which stars Christian Bale as John Connor. It looks like this film is taking a different tack than the first three. I think it’s going to be a cool twist on the rest of the series and I can honestly say that I’m glad to see that Arnold Schwarzenaeggar isn’t going to be involved. (I still don’t believe that there won’t at least be a cameo, though.)
