Mojang Releases Minecraft 1.6 Snapshot
Mojang has released a snapshot of version 1.6 of Minecraft. The latest update adds a ton of cool new things to the game including horses that can be saddled and ridden, hay to feed the aforementioned horses, leashes, and carpets. It also introduces a new launcher.
No word yet on an official release date, unfortunately.

Apple Launches Countdown to 50 Billion App Downloads
The App Store is about to reach the 50 billion download mark. To celebrate, Apple is going to give the person who downloads the 50,000,000,000th app $10,000 in iTunes credit.
The App Store for iOS devices launched in July 2008 and offers over 800,000 apps today.

This is Epic Games’ incredible JavaScript port of Unreal Engine 3 running in Firefox. I’m at a loss for words. This is incredible. I did not expect it to be so pretty.
Armless Man Vows to Fight Ticket For Not Wearing Seat Belt
A 55 year old double amputee in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan told local media that he plans to fight a $175 ticket he received for not wearing his seat belt.
The interesting thing about this story is that Steven Simonar, who lost both of his arms after a freak boating accident 28 years ago, wasn’t a passenger. He was the driver.
