Apple, Foxconn Blasted By Fair Labor Association
Apple and Foxconn are both scrambling to address the findings published today by the Fair Labor Association based on the group’s investigation into reports of absolutely horrendous working conditions at Foxconn’s plants throughout China.
Foxconn, which manufactures both the iPhone and the iPad, has faced criticism over how it treats workers since a string of employee suicides brought attention to the issue in 2010.
New York Woman Suing Apple Over Glass Storefront
An 83 year old woman from Queens, New York is suing Apple for $1,000,000 because she claims the company’s glass storefronts are a hazard to the elderly.
Evelyn Paswall claims she didn’t realize that there was glass in front of her when she tried to walk into an Apple store in Long Island. As a result, she smashed her face against the door. The impact broke her nose. Paswall is now claiming that Apple was negligent.

iPad Released, Already Rooted, iFixIt Teardown Complete
The “resolutionary” new iPad hit stores across the United States today – and the Chronic Dev Team has already liberated it from the restrictions of iTunes using a modified version of the Absinthe jailbreaking tool. IFixIt also already has a teardown of Apple’s newest tablet.
Overall, the revision doesn’t seem to be impressing anyone nearly as much as the iPad 2. In fact, Gizmodo found that a lot of people can’t even tell the difference between the two.
Apple Unveils New iPad, Revised Apple TV
Big surprise! Apple unveiled the new iPad today. They’re not calling it the iPad 3 or the iPad HD, though. They’re simply calling it the iPad. How’s that for confusing?
The newest iteration of the world’s most popular tablet features a 2048×1536 pixel retina display, a dual-core A5X chip, (allegedly) 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE capability, and a laundry list of design improvements. In addition to the iPad update, Apple also revealed that Apple TV is getting a major bump in the form of a new version that supports full 1080p.
