Blizzard Publishes Diablo III 1.0.5 Patch Notes
Blizzard just published the patch notes for version 1.0.5 of Diablo III and boy, is this going to be a huge update. They’re adding a new Monster Power system, a new high level character event called Infernal Machine, and they’ve made hundreds of fixes and balance changes.
This might just be enough of a paradigm shift to get me back into the game.

A Message to Blizzard Entertainment
This is popular YouTube user boogie2988 reacting to Blizzard’s internal network hack this week. (Note: This is him “in character” as a lunatic he calls “Francis”.)
Everything about this video is fucking amazing. Best rant ever recorded.

Blizzard’s Internal Network Breached

To view your profile on the Battle.net website log in, select your Diablo III username from the drop-down box in the upper right corner of the page, and then click on the “View Profile” link.
Blizzard Patches Diablo III “Invincible Wizard” Glitch
Blizzard just patched up a nasty exploit in Diablo III that allowed any player with a high level Wizard to turn invincible simply by casting Teleport followed quickly by Archon.
The glitch was first reported this morning by a user on the game’s official forums, however the developers took until approximately 9:00pm Pacific time tonight to fix it.
Obviously, this has serious ramifications for the Diablo III “real money” auction house. There’s no word from Blizzard on how (or if) they plan to address that particular issue.
Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime Addresses Diablo III Concerns
Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime addressed a wide range of concerns Diablo III players have been expressing on the game’s forums over the past few months in a long post today. It’s an open letter style post covering a wide range of topics – everything from the botched launch to plans for new max-level content and the PvP we were promised.
If you own the game, this is absolutely worth reading.
Sam Raimi No Longer Directing World of WarCraft Movie
Bad news for World of WarCraft fans: Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi confirmed in a Comic-Con interview that he is no longer attached to the project – and it’s unclear who will replace him at this point. In fact, Blizzard hasn’t said much of anything about the project.
Personally, I hope this gets canceled. Nothing good can come of a WarCraft movie.
