Modern Warfare 3 Reaches $1 Billion In 16 Days
Activision just announced that Modern Warfare 3 has set a new record for an entertainment release by reaching the $1 billion sales mark in just 16 days.
That’s one day faster than the film Avatar. Jesus.
Gabe Newell Basically Confirms HL3 at E3 2012
Following a disappointing but ultimately unsurprising absence of any news regarding Gordon Freeman at the Video Game Awards on Spike yesterday, Valve head Gabe Newell sent a few email responses to angry gamers.
In short, he’s basically confirmed that we’re going to see Half-Life 3 soon. Here are a pair of screen caps from both of the emails. (These are legitimate. Headers verified.)
Rainbow Six: Patriots – 2011 VGA Trailer
This certainly looks like it will be a breath of fresh air for the franchise.
Battlepenis 3
Oh, this is just downright hilarious.
Croteam Uses Invincible Enemy For DRM
Croteam, the developer responsible for the Serious Sam games, came up with a brilliant method of protecting Serious Sam 3: BFE from pirates without pumping it full of ugly DRM: they’ve been tormenting them with a lightning fast invincible pink scorpion.
Take note, Ubisoft and EA. This is how it’s done.

The best multiplayer FPS map of all time returns. Fuck yeah.
Developer Seen Wearing Official Half-Life 3 T-Shirt
The image to the right is not deceiving you. It’s a real Half-Life 3 t-shirt. The man wearing it is a Valve employee. The photo was captured at a developer conference in Seattle this week.
What does this mean? Good lord. I feel like I might shit my pants or something.
Dead Island Banned In Germany
Dead Island, the grisly zombie survival game from Techland, has been banned from sale in Germany. No one at the company is surprised according to a statement.
“This isn’t unexpected. Germany has its unique regulations regarding video games and violence and the industry can only comply. Both Deep Silver and Techland were aware of such a possibility from the very beginning.”
Whether it was expected is irrelevant, if you ask me. The fact that a country has a department called the “Federal Department of Media Harmful to Young Persons” is the problem here.
Battlefield 3 – Gulf of Oman Gameplay
This game is just ridiculous.
