Borderlands 2: Confirmed
Word first leaked yesterday that Borderlands 2 is on the horizon. Today, we have the official confirmation from developerĀ Gearbox and 2K Games that a sequel is due out between April, 2012 and the spring of 2013.
Gearbox head Randy Pitchford says that the game will feature “wild new things” and the cell shaded art style will return!

Borderlands 2 Confirmed
A source close to the project has told Eurogamer that Gearbox is hard at work a second Borderlands game. 2K Games is expected to make an announcement about it “soon”.
Commando Perk Removed From Modern Warfare 3

Valve Pulls Dragon Age II From Steam
Things are heating up between Valve and EA over the new Origin storefront.
It started a few months ago when Valve made the decision to remove Crysis 2 from Steam because of a terms of service violation. Today, Valve pulled Dragon Age II because the new Legacy DLC is only available as an in-game purchase and not via the Steam storefront.
At this rate, it won’t be long before the two publishers part ways completely. EA has already confirmed that you won’t be able to buy Battlefield 3 through Steam.
Epic Admits to Neglecting Unreal Franchise
In a rather candid interview with Industry Gamers this week, Epic Games president Mike Capps admitted that the company has neglected their flagship Unreal franchise in favor of the Gears of War series. He stopped short of confirming that they’re working on a new entry in the long-running deathmatch dynasty but he did make it sound like it’s in the cards.

Activision Seeks to Seize ModernWarfare3.com
Last week, the gaming community collectively giggled as the owner of ModernWarfare3.com redirected the URL to the Battlefield 3 website over a period of several days. The domain is otherwise used to host a micro-site lambasting the franchise as the “worst of all time”.
This week, Activision is fighting back. In fact, they’ve filed a petition to seize the domain.
Battlefield 3 Battlelog Screenshots
Several screenshots of the new Battlelog system launching with Battlefield 3 have surfaced. It’s basically a social network and stat tracking system for people who play the game.
