I haven’t been covering PlanetSide 2 on What The Christ? because I never thought it had a prayer in hell of being successful. This trailer, however, piques my interest. It could be good.

id Software is currently hiring for an unannounced next-gen console project.
One of the interesting points of the job description is that they want someone with, “Familiarity with id Software games, characters, brands and universes.” Could this be Doom IV?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Under Development
Several sources are reporting today that Infinity Ward is actively working on another entry in the Modern Warfare franchise despite the fact that the main plot concluded with the Modern Warfare 3 campaign. As if that weren’t interesting enough, Infinity Ward is reportedly working on a “new high-end DX11 code base” for the game. In other words, this is a next-gen title.
It’s sounding more and more like we’re all going to have to buy new consoles in 2013.
Battlefield 3 – Armored Kill Gameplay Trailer
EA and DICE just released a teaser for the largest map in Battlefield history. Awesome.
DICE Confirms Battlefield 4
DICE and EA decided to go ahead and confirm that Battlefield 4 is under development after someone accidentally leaked the game’s existence on the Origin storefront a few days ago.
You will in fact get access to the beta if you pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
It’s going to be tough to sell the Battlefield 3 expansions now that everyone knows the game is just going to be replaced within a year, anyway. This is a very odd move on EA’s part.

EA Accidentally Reveals Battlefield 4
EA is at least a year away from being finished releasing Battlefield 3 expansions and yet the company is apparently already working on Battlefield 4. A splash screen advertising access to the Battlefield 4 beta as a perk of pre-ordering Medal of Honor: Warfighter was posted on the Origin store briefly yesterday. It was quickly taken down once buzz started.
Honestly, this is way too soon. Battlefield 3 has a lot of life left in it. Why split the community?
