IGN got a chance to play through a bit of Portal 2 last week. This is their new video preview. It looks gorgeous!
Portal 2: PC and PS3 Versions Are Cross Compatible
Valve announced over the weekend that the PS3 and PC versions of Portal 2 are cross compatible. That means that PS3 users can chat with Steam users, play multiplayer with them and even use the same cloud-based storage.

This is absolutely awesome. It sets a huge precedent for other game developers.
Bulletstorm: Weapons Trailer
This is perhaps the most revealing look at Bulletstorm, yet.
Dead Space 2: Your Mom Hates This
Mothers are always going to complain about the level of violence in video games. It’s just a fact of life. Instead of fighting them, however, EA has chosen to embrace them. In fact, an absolute genius in their marketing department came up with the idea of exposing several actual mothers to footage from the game. They then produced this commercial:
Oh, and they also bought http://www.yourmomhatesthis.com and turned it into a big ad for the game, which comes out in just a few days.

Bulletstorm Demo Coming January 25th
People Can Fly and Epic Games just announced that a demo for the upcoming over the top shooter Bulletstorm is due out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on January 25th!
The demo will allow you to play through part of the game’s score-based Echo mode using the Skillshot system. You’ll be given access to several guns including the Peace Maker Carbine, the Flail Gun (fires grenades linked together by a chain), and the Screamer, “a powerful revolver that turns enemies into human fireworks.”
A total of 45 different killshots will be available in the demo, giving you an idea of what to expect in the final release. Playing the demo will unlock “platform-specific upgrades” in the final retail game, for use in the game’s Anarchy mode, including the Crimson Leash and Stealth Armor. The retail copy of the game releases on February 22nd.
Bulletstorm: Last Call
This is quite possibly the most hilarious video game trailer ever produced. (It’s a jab at the famous Halo trailer released back in 2007.)
I’m definitely buying Bulletstorm the moment it hits shelves. It’s going to be awesome.
