Minecraft 360 Breaks One Million Sales

The Xbox 360 port of Minecraft has been something of a success. Not only did it shatter all previous launch day sales and play records on Xbox Live Arcade; it also surpassed the one million sales mark this morning and people have already spent 2.4 million hours playing.

Considering that it’s only been available for five days, that’s kind of insane.

Minecraft Xbox 360 Port Released!

The Xbox 360 port of Minecraft is now available.

You can grab the demo for free or you can get the full game, which weighs in at 113.21MB, for 1600 MS Points.

The port has been generally well received so far. It has more than 420,000 ratings as of this posting.

My only complaint at this point is that the worlds are limited in size to 1,000×1,000 blocks, which is quite a bit smaller than I was hoping. It restricts anything too ambitious.
