Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials DLC Coming Soon

Dishonored is an awesome game. In fact, it’s got my vote for game of the year. But the story is way too short, which is a huge downside even taking replay value into consideration.

Fortunately, Bethesda and developer Arkane realized that shortcoming. They’re releasing a big piece of DLC called Dunwall City Trials for $4.99 to compensate. It adds ten challenge maps with modes like survival, time trial, and the game’s signature “drop” assassinations.

In addition to Dunwall City Trials, Arkane is also planning two more DLC packs in 2013.

Retailers Slash Prices of Xbox 360 Bundles

Multiple retailers including GameStopBest BuyAmazon and Target have slashed the prices on Xbox 360 bundles by a full $50 in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. I’d grab a 250GB bundle, personally. It includes Forza Motorsport 4 and Skyrim!

There’s also a “value bundle” that includes four wireless controllers for $374.99.

Dishonored – Mr. Pink’s Review

I’ve always been a fan of stealth games. I’ve played through all of the Thief, Hitman, and Splinter Cell titles.

Needless to say, I was excited over Dishonored. And now that I’ve been on an absolute marathon run through the first half of the game I can say that it was worth the wait. In fact, I would go so far as to call it the best game of 2012.

If you were to take all of the best parts of Thief, BioShock, and Assassin’s Creed and roll them up into one incredibly well-made game, you’d get something similar to this one. It has everything you could possibly ask for in a solid action title: a great story, fluid controls, and intelligent design.

My only complaint is that the game can be too linear at times. The trailers led us to believe that Dishonored is far more open than it really is. But where it lacks in openness it more than makes up with compelling gameplay. It’s been a long time since I had this much fun gaming.

Bottome line? Even at full retail, this game is worth buying. It’s fantastic.
