To Nobody’s Surprise, Dick Cheney Lies Again
Editor & Publisher is running a piece on Dick Cheney’s recent exit interview with Jim Lehrer of PBS. The article includes a transcript of the interview.
It’s clear at this point that Cheney is absolutely delusional. Not only does he “not buy” that he’s overwhelmingly unpopular with the American people but he also claims that nobody was tortured under the Bush administration, very few mistakes were made, and the economy isn’t the current administration’s fault.
It really must be nice to live in in your own little world. In any case, I’m sure that if he exists, the devil has a special pineapple waiting for Mr. Cheney.
Israel Sends Ground Forces Into Gaza
Israel has send ground forces into Gaza. Hamas has responded by telling Israeli forces that Gaza will be “[their] cemetary”. Israel claims that they’ve sent in ground forces to minimize civilian casualties, as Hamas is their primary target. I don’t buy that, personally. I think that the air strikes will continue.

Take a look at this brief but extremely interesting Wired article detailing the relevance of blogging and YouTube to the war currently raging between Israel and Hamas in Palestine.
It’s a bit jarring when you realize that the Internet has become so powerful that governments around the world can use it as a tool to drum up support for military campaigns.
